WAITI

Waiti is the star that connects to all the foods found in fresh water streams, rivers and lakes like koura (freshwater crayfish) tuna (eel) , korokoro (lamprey), inanga (whitebait) kōkopu (native fish).

6pm – 9pm.  The Matariki light trail turns Maybury Reserve into a magical landscape.

 

Enjoy light displays of Māori-inspired imagery set among thousands of fairy lights.

7.00pm. Te Iwa o Matariki. A delightful short film as Dr Rangi Matamua shares his knowledge of Matariki through the eyes of a koro (grandfather) with his moko (grand daughter).
