WAITI

Waiti is the star that connects to all the foods found in fresh water streams, rivers and lakes like koura (freshwater crayfish) tuna (eel) , korokoro (lamprey), inanga (whitebait) kōkopu (native fish).

5.55pm  Opening karakia and turning-on-the-lights countdown every night at the Matariki waharoa main entry.

6pm – 9pm.  The Matariki light trail turns Maybury Reserve into a magical landscape.

 

Enjoy light displays of Māori-inspired imagery set among thousands of fairy lights.
